I went to Ditchling yesterday to visit the Eric Gill exhibition at the museum. I also visited the Church of St Margaret of Antioch with the old churchyard. Inside the church, everything was decorated for Thanksgiving and I took this photo. Links: Ditchling · Ditchling Museum · Ditchling church

This is one of the more obvious pagan reminiscences, or remains in Christianity.
