Eltville is an interesting place with two castles – one is called Burg Crass! – a château, a monastery run by Cistercians and a beautiful old town with buildings from the 15th and 18th century. Eltville is also home of Felix Krull, the character from Thomas Mann’s novel “Bekenntnisse des Hochstaplers Felix Krull” (Confessions of Felix Krull). Last but not least Eltville is a great place to drink excellent wine.
