I am a camera

photoblog by Daniel Kaspar

People in Brighton seem to like cars. It is easy to spot vehicles by Porsche, Aston Martin, Bentley or Hummer and there are obviously several vintage car enthusiast around. However I was surprised to see one of these in a backyard. It is a Trabant, a car that was produced in East Germany before the fall of the wall. Obviously it is still used as it has a regular number plate.

cool, schön dass es noch liebhaber für solche autos gibt.

That is a tiny car! Nice find!

manche bilder kenne ich aber auch gut. Ursula, 16.1.07

are you indulging in 'ostalgia'? great shot. the odd thing is trabbies always had that kids car/smiley face look to them. something which one does not associate with DDR in general. great find. where was it?

This place looks pretty much like the one where I used to live… ;-)!!!

Fantastic photoblog, Daniel!

Cheers for your comments!

Doc, Ostalgia is not for me, it is rather for people who grew up in East Germany.

Flo, it does not only look like…

Do you know who is living there now? This car has the wheel on the left side, but that probably doesnt mean anything…

Have your say!
